Everyone’s idea of the perfect wedding looks different—the Sandstone Point Hotel is one of the few wedding venues that offers something for everyone. Whether your idea of the perfect wedding is a relaxed waterside occasion or a decadent wine cellar soiree, the Sandstone Point Hotel has exactly what you’re looking for.
This wedding venue has ten unique areas available for functions, covering both the ceremony and the reception. One of these areas is known as The Chapel, a non-denominational wedding chapel with a bright and friendly atmosphere. Out of the chapel’s large windows, you can see a classic Australian paperbark forest, as well as a romantic lake and vast manicured grasslands. Up to 100 guests can comfortably enjoy this space with you.
Another area available at the Sandstone Point Hotel is The Fig Tree. This gorgeous ancient fig provides the perfect shade for a ceremony to take place, and its draping lights ensure that the scene becomes only more enchanting as the sun begins to set.
If you’d rather tie the knot closer to the ocean, you can celebrate your special day at the Waters Edge, or By the Jetty. These two gorgeous spots are perfect for couples who love the sea breeze and the delicate sound of lapping waves. The rustic arbor at Waters Edge perfectly frames the happy couple, making for some gorgeous wedding photos.
The jetty holds a sacred part of Brisbane’s history, being constructed using pieces of the Brisbane Riverwalk which was destroyed in the 2011 floods. This special place is perfect for any couple with a strong connection to Brisbane.
Of course, the Sandstone Point Hotel also offers two gorgeous indoor areas, the Pumicestone Room and the Cellar. While the Pumicestone Room is bright and elegant, the Cellar is rustic and evocative, like a fine red wine. These two spaces are very different in aesthetic; however, they share the air of sophistication and class that makes a wedding feel so special.
The Sandstone Point Hotel is perfect for couples who want to have a ball, with entertainment venues such as the Oyster Shed, the Waterview Bar, the Sandbar Deck, and the Poinciana Deck all onsite. The Sandstone Point Hotel is located on Bribie Island Road and is easily accessible from both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
